So my first campsite that I stayed at was just south of Florence in Oregon. A lot of campsites have an area specially for hikers and bikers and the campsites have a policy to always accommodate them no matter how full up the campground is. To pitch as a hiker biker is only $5. It rained on my first night of camping and I did camp a second night, it was really damp in the morning and I really tried to tough it out and go a third night but decided to book into a motel and dry everything out, bliss.

$5 is very good value indeed. Minimum price we paid (on End to End) per person in UK was £7! Great to see you progressing through the USA…

Alison, great to hear from you. You are the reason why I have a pool noodle on my bike, thanks for that 😊. Love your website. How was your tour and have you got another one planned next summer? Trip is going well, thanks for good wishes.

Great to read about your trip Susan. The noodle is fab, reminds me of a poster carrier in Provence 😉. Your list still looks very heavy, are you carrying things you don’t need, or getting stronger and collecting stuff? 😂
