Oregon

I’m now out of Washington State and in the State of Oregon, which went pretty fast.

This morning I waved bye to Dan and Long Beach. Dan was my Warmshowers host for two nights, he used to ace and tour, but isn’t able to cycle so much now. He’s a member of the North West Fighter Kite Association and has an array of different kites. Long Beach is known for its annual kite festival. There’s also Marsh’s free Museum which is ram packed with slot machines and curios including:

If I had a spare $22k I could be the proud only of a Sasquatch 🤣

Before arriving in Long Beach I spent the night in a very very Small town called Raymond. It had loads of iron artwork around the town and is well known for its carriage museum.

The scenery from Raymond to Long Beach was pretty spectacular and the best part is that the Oregon Coast is supposed to be even more spectacular than the Washington coast.

I also love the drive they coffee shops that they have here.
