Monroe

An amazing ride from Independence to Monroe, only 30 miles and I managed to squeeze in a 30min back massage before the start of the ride.

Monroe was a bit off the beaten track which was great. I spent the night at the Deatons.

Their daughter and son in the morning showed me around the Magic Place. They live on a large plot of land with woodlands at the back and a stream, so I was being taken around there and they tried to persuade me to climb an old tree, I observed at this point.

Their lovely but mad dog Lolly. One minute she’d be resting her head on my lap next minute she’d be scared of me and try and back away.
