Canmore to Golden

To make life a little easier we caught a bus from Canmore to Banff to cut down on travel time. A lot of the local buses have these bike racks on the front, they also have space inside the bus for bikes too. I'm very impressed.

Today's ride was from Field to Golden in British Columbia. There are quite a few forest 🌳 fires 🔥 in the country which are currently causing poor air quality. Today was a really bad day. In the picture above there are actually mountains in the background, but they can barely be seen. I'm now currently considering what to do next. I've decided that it would be unwise to continue to cycle. The plan was to cycle to Vancouver but most of the route is smokey too. So I may leave Canada sooner than planned and start my journey in the US a little bit sooner, although I may have the same problem in the US.

I'm staying in a hostel at the moment, but camping in the garden. She runs a hostel but is also a warmshower host. So I get to stay for free and use the hostel facilities and all I have to do is camp in the back yard, bargain 😊😊
