A day of firsts saw a raccoon, a bald eagle and had deep fried oysters, yum 👅.  

This bay is called Fanny Bay. Chortle, chortle, very childish. We passed it on the way to Courtenay after leaving Qualicum Beach.

I stopped off in Parksville yesterday on the way to Qualicum Beach. Apparently Parksville has the best low tide in the whole of Canada, it goes out for miles.

First night on a a campsite ⛺️ and I survived. I even enjoyed it and got a good night’s sleep 😴.

My first day cycling in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island I did 30miles yesterday but managed to do a very scenic route. I really ended up only about 10 miles away from Nanaimo. 😁🤣😂

First fully loaded day. Left Vancouver and finished the day in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Amazing scenery.

Just to get to grips with how to use it.  Tomorrow is my first fully loaded ride😐

At Stanley Park yesterday. Got chatting to Robert Yelton a Squarmish Carver who carved the totem pole behind us.
