A very very very scenic train journey to Prince George. Journey was a long one. We started at 8.30am and got in at 10.30pm.

Sunshine ☀️ Yay!!
After quite a few rainy days the sun has finally made an appearance. Today is my last day in Prince Rupert before catching a train for two days to get to Jasper. Going to miss my bike 🚴 😞.
Rainy Prince Rupert
Whilst the UK is basking in soaring temperatures, Canada is very very wet. My waterproof poncho is my favourite outdoor accessory at the moment.
The Inside Passage
Yesterday we catch the boat from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert. A 12 hour boat journey on a cruise ship. Unfortunately it rained for most of the journey so no opportunity to really see much of the scenery. Two whales were spotted and waterfalls could be seen but no bears.
Mother Bear and Cubs
Cycled from Port McNeil to Port Hardy. Stopped at a scenic viewing point to be told that there was a Mother Bear and her three cubs on the road up ahead. Unfortunately we didn’t see them en route; I’m not gutted. Had my first puncture yesterday.
Courtenay to Campbell River
Travelling from Courtenay to Campbell we passed by a really beautiful bay. A policeman on a bicycle in Courtenay offered us a place to stay as the weather was so bad. People are very kind and have a lot of time to help here.
Raccoons, Bald Eagles & Fried Oysters
A day of firsts saw a raccoon, a bald eagle and had deep fried oysters, yum 👅.
Near Courtenay
This bay is called Fanny Bay. Chortle, chortle, very childish. We passed it on the way to Courtenay after leaving Qualicum Beach.
Low Tide in Parksville
I stopped off in Parksville yesterday on the way to Qualicum Beach. Apparently Parksville has the best low tide in the whole of Canada, it goes out for miles.
