I arrived in Christchurch, New Zealand in the early hours of the morning and Sister Monika picked me up. I met Monika 25 years ago when we were teaching at Takuilau College in Tonga. I haven’t seen her in 23 years. I spent a week and a half with sister Monika and the other Sisters of Mercy and I was reminded of why I enjoyed my time in Tonga so much as myself and Monika had a good laugh.
During my stay with the sisters I actually reassembled my bike.

I did a bit of cycling around Christchurch.

I visited the art gallery and contributed to an art installation

My contribution to what will eventually be a big yellow moon with crocheted craters.
After spending far too long on the phone to Garmin trying to work out how to install new maps on my device I decided that I should actually go on a bicycle tour. I hadn’t toured for a good three weeks.
